Henry On Location

For over 15 years, Henry Haney, community leader and LTV board member, has had a regular Thursday talk show on issues of concern to the local community. What many viewers donʼt realize is that Henry takes it on the road for a Sunday show (10 am and 9pm) with a spiritual bent. Henry tapes church services throughout the East End and often is called on location when the churches have special services.

Inside Real Estate

After appearing on Theresa Quigley's show "The Law & You" to discuss real estate partnerships, it occurred to Judy Mendoza and Jack Kelleher that the East End could benefit from a show that helps people understand the ins and outs and ups and downs of East End real estate. Thus, "Inside Real Estate" was born. "We hope to be informative on a myriad of topics ranging from design to the more specific business aspects of real estate. Buying and selling properties on the East End has its own unique slant, which differentiates our area. We also cover broader issues such as renovation. No matter what the topic, we hope to bring an insider's perspective and some funny anecdotes to each program." According to Jack and Judy, the feedback has been plentiful and wonderful.

Keepin' It Green

Debbie Klughers goes out of her way to emphasize she’s not the star of “Keepin’ It Green.” “My guests are the stars,” she says. Every episode, Debbie brings in an expert “to speak on diverse environmental topics to inform the community on subjects they may not be aware of and to give people tools they can use in their lives.”

She says it was easy getting her show up and running on LTV: “The Producer’s class wasn’t available when I was getting started, so I just went in and helped other producers with their shows and learned that way.” Debbie believes her LTV show helped her earn the prestigious Chancellor’s Award for Excellence at Stony Brook University, an honor that takes into account  athletics, community service and performing arts along with academic excellence. Congratulations, Debbie! "Keepin’ It Green" airs Tuesdays, 6:30 P.M.

Let's Talk About Animals

"People just don't realize how many wonderful people are involved in animal rescue on Long Island," says Jewel Fine Morris, a new LTV producer. Jewel is using her show on LTV to create a positive impact on the lives of animals in distress.

The show, “Let’s Talk About Animals,” covers everything from the tragic cases of animals left behind, and eventually euthanized, when their owners pass away, to the glitz and glamour of animal rescue fundraisers in the Hamptons.

“We want to raise awareness of animal rescue at all levels through our show,” says Jewel. To get started, she volunteered at LTV for ten hours and easily learned the ins and outs of producing. Today her show is a “paw-fect” example of the education, entertainment, local interest and social impact that LTV stands for throughout the East End.

News and Views

LTV has a lively new "inquiring reporter" show, produced by Trace
Duryea, head of the East Hampton Republican Committee, former
president of LVIS and member of Guild Hall Board. Her partner for the
show is Beverly Bond, retired East Hampton attorney, retired police officer,
and volunteer mediator. Two concerned East Hampton citizens.

Utilizing a half hour format, the two plan a diversity of guests and
guest hosts.  Their first guests were the Amagansett Beach Safety
Advisory Committee - Vicki Littman, chair, Ed Michaels, East Hampton
Town Harbormaster and Head of Marine Patrol, and John Ryan Jr., Chief
Lifeguard.  The Committee has instituted a new beach marking system
that enables 911 callers to easily pinpoint the geographical location
of dangerous incidents clearer and faster.

"The bottom line," says Duryea, "is a show that provides interesting
segments on the remarkable people who contribute to our wonderful
community."
