Shakespeare Summer Camp at LTV
Billy Shakespeare Goes to Hollywood – via LTV’s Studio 3! A three-week Performing Arts summer camp for children 8 to 14 will take place at LTV studios the first three weeks in August.
Offered by the Round Table Theatre Company & Academy, campers will perform a mix of Shakespearean text and modern song and dance. The camp is directed by Round Table artistic director and actress Morgan Vaughan and Anita Boyer, dancer and co-founder of Our Fabulous Variety Show, an East End vaudeville-style theatre troupe.
Vaughan, an experienced camp director, wrote the Billy Shakespeare play specifically for children. “It is really Shakespeare meets Glee,” says Vaughan. “There will be a little something for all 30 campers. Scenery design, acting, singing, dancing and mask workshops."
The play itself will be presented at LTV the weekend of August 23rd and 24th. For more information, go to www.roundtabletheatrecompany.org.

If you stumble across a poet reading a small morsel of their work this year on LTV (such as Julie Sheehan, pictured to the left), don’t be surprised. You have discovered the beginnings of a yearlong project to record and document our great local literary talent.
“The East End is a place where art thrives,” explains Rosalind
Welcome to an evening like no other - mix and mingle with the players before the big game!
