On Wednesday afternoons in April, documentary filmmaker and social media producer Bill Delano, in collaboration with LTV, will be offering a month of in-person media making workshops geared toward impacting the community.
Classes will be held APRIL 5, 12, 19 and 26 from 2 - 4PM. These workshops are FREE.
Students, Business Owners, Journalists, Non-Profit Directors, Artists, Activists and any other community members may have a particular interest in this 4 week course at LTV Studios in Wainscott. Attendees will learn how making media can affect their lives, business, and community. The curriculum will cover how to scope, script, shoot, edit, and share the type of content that builds trust, makes money, and improves the health of our community.
Whether you want to learn to make better videos using your phone, or make the most out of your DSLR, the workshop will cover the different steps needed to share impactful content.
Bill Delano is the founder of Peconic Pictures, a production company that creates video based social media campaigns for East End Organizations, and the director of From One To Another, a documentary film he is releasing with LTV about the effects of the pandemic on our community. TESTIMONIALS FROM THE FEBRUARY CLASS
Bill’s friendly demeanor and relaxed atmosphere created the perfect space to explore the narrative. His creative, yet straightforward teaching approach gave me the tools I needed to establish a solid
foundation for producing video communication pieces. It was a wonderful workshop, led by a dynamic instructor, with fantastic attendees.

I had the pleasure of attending Bills Making Media that Matters workshop at LTV Studios in the Hamptons. I found the group workshop to be very productive and informative. I don’t consider myself to be tech savvy but by the end I was inspired with an idea to make a video highlighting local entrepreneur moms. My video has so far gotten 500 views and I hope it drives some business to the amazing women featured in my video. It feels good to make Media “that matters” Thanks Bill!

Bill, Thank you for the wonderful class. It helped me a lot in my journey. As an active young YouTube I was struggling on my goals and vision for the show that I created. After a few classes I realized what's my brand and why I started and most important how I can help my subscribers."

I enjoyed the 4 week structure and being in a group with other mission-driven content creators. The community/social impact work is vital and appreciated. I hope to continue connecting in this community.
