
“An Evening with Norm Lewis”
The Hamptons Summer Songbook By The Sea series of live concerts—starring some of the finest working artists from Broadway and the cabaret world performing up close and personal in an intimate, black-box soundstage tucked away in the hidden heart of Wainscott—returns to LTV Studios for its third spectacular season. The 8-show roster launches on Sunday June 28th at 7:30PM with a Season Opener that is absolutely not to be missed: Norm Lewis headlines. Norm Lewis, one of the American theatre's most celebrated, Tony-nominated baritones, makes his Hamptons debut after starring in countless film and television roles and stunning Broadway audiences with leading roles in standouts such as The Gershwins' Porgy & Bess, Les Miserables in New York and on the West End, Ragtimeat Lincoln Center, and the title role for several years in The Phantom of The Opera.
Before Norm shakes the rafters, we'll all raise a toast to summer with spirits provided by BottleHampton and delicious passed hors d'oeuvres by East Hampton Kitchen. Series producers Donna Rubin and Josh Gladstone will welcome Jean Shafiroff to the stage to present the inaugural Frances Ann Dougherty Award for Broadcast Philanthropy. Named after Frances Ann, the wife of LTV Founder Frazer Dougherty and the institution's first major contributor over 40 years ago, the Frances Ann Award is bestowed annually to an individual with connections to the East End who has made a significant contribution to LTV's mission to provide Public Access, Education and Government (PEG) Broadcasting while sustaining and expanding the impact of LTV programming for East Hampton and beyond. The tremendous consistency and success of Jean's show Successful Philanthropy, along with her steadfast, years-long support of LTV mark Jean as the ideal candidate to launch this annual recognition.
Following Norm's stellar performance the audience is invited to mingle as sumptuous desserts are served, prepared by Chef Annie Washburn, and anticipation mounts for the tremendous Talent scheduled for the rest of the season - a schedule peppered across July and August that includes such luminaries as Ann Hampton Callaway (July 11); Klea Blackhurst & Billy Stritch singing the tunes of Hoagy Carmichael (July 18); David Alpern hosting Maria Abous and Eric Yves Garcia in an evening of Lorenz Hart (July 25); A Swell-egant, Elegant Party hosted by Laurence Maslon (NPR) and starring Eric Comstock, Barbara Fasano and some fabulous custom cocktails (August 1); returning champions KT Sullivan and Mark Nadler joined by Stephanie Pope and Christine Pedi in a jubilee of song co-sponsored by the Mabel Mercer Foundation (August 22); a sparkling party and performance hosted by and starring Hamptons entertainer Pamela Morgan (August 23); and capping off the summer, a Musical Memoir with the legendary Tony-winning star of A Chorus Line, Donna McKechnie (August 29). Norm Lewis
Emmy, Grammy, Tony, and SAG Award nominee, NORM LEWIS, was recently seen onstage starring in the critically acclaimed off-Broadway revival of “Ceremonies in Dark Old Men” by Lonnie Elder. He recently starred in the national tour of the Tony Award-winning production of A Soldier's Play and in Andrew Lloyd Webber's West End Concert of "Love Never Dies." He starred in Spike Lee's critically acclaimed, "Da 5 Bloods," and in the groundbreaking FX series, Pose. Additionally, Mr. Lewis can be seen starring opposite Hilary Swank in the feature "The Good Mother," Amazon Prime's newest series, Swarm, and Hulu's, Up Here. He was also seen as 'Caiaphas' in the award-winning NBC television special, “Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert!,” alongside John Legend, Sara Bareilles, and Alice Cooper.
Mr. Lewis returned to Broadway in the Fall of 2021, starring in Chicken and Biscuits at the Circle In The Square Theatre. He previously appeared in the Broadway revival of Once on This Island and as Sweeney Todd in the Off-Broadway production of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street at the Barrow Street Theatre, receiving the AUDELCO Award for his performance. In May of 2014, he made history as The Phantom of the Opera’s first African American Phantom on Broadway.
He has been seen on PBS in the Live From Lincoln Center productions of Showboat with Vanessa Williams, Norm Lewis: Who Am I?, New Year’s Eve: A Gershwin Celebration with Diane Reeves, as well as American Voices with Renée Fleming and the PBS Specials First You Dream – The Music of Kander & Ebb and Ella Wishes You A Swingin' Christmas. He can be seen recurring in the VH1 series, Daytime Divas, also alongside Vanessa Williams. His additional television credits include Women of The Movement, Law & Order, Dr. Death, Mrs. America, Better Things, The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Bull, Chicago Med, Gotham, The Blacklist, and Blue Bloods, as well as in his recurring role as Senator Edison Davis on the hit drama Scandal.
Mr. Lewis is a proud, founding member of Black Theatre United, an organization which stands together to help protect Black people, Black talent and Black lives of all shapes and orientations in theatre and communities across the country. He received Tony, Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle award nominations for his performance as Porgy in the Broadway production of The Gershwins’ Porgy & Bess. Other Broadway credits include Sondheim on Sondheim, The Little Mermaid, Les Misérables, Chicago, Amour, The Wild Party, Side Show, Miss Saigon, and The Who’s Tommy. In London’s West End he has appeared as Javert in Les Misérables and Les Misérables: The 25th Anniversary Concert, which aired on PBS.
Off-Broadway Mr. Lewis has performed in Dessa Rose (Drama Desk nomination, AUDELCO Award), Shakespeare in the Park’s The Tempest, The Two Gentlemen of Verona (Drama League nomination), Captains Courageous, and A New Brain. His regional credits include Porgy in The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess (A.R.T.), Ragtime, Dreamgirls (with Jennifer Holliday), First You Dream,
Sweeney Todd, and The Fantasticks.
His additional film credits include Christmas In Tune (starring opposite Reba McEntire), Magnum Opus, Winter’s Tale, Sex and the City 2, Confidences, and Preaching to the Choir.

Isaac Harlan
Is a Pittsburgh native who studied piano at Penn State University. Since 2010, he has worked in NYC as a pianist, music director, and orchestrator. Isaac has played concerts for Norm Lewis, Shoshana Bean, Brandon Victor Dixon, and Darius de Haas, among others, and has also had the pleasure of working on developing musicals by writers such as Michael McElroy, Tituss Burgess, Alex Gemignani, and Black Thought. He accompanies the younger generation of singers through his work with NYU, YoungArts, and the National High School Musical Theatre Awards. Isaac also works with the Broadway Inspirational Voices, a Grammy-nominated gospel choir, as a pianist and orchestrator.

Jean Shafiroff
As part of the evening, series producers Donna Rubin and Josh Gladstone will welcomeJean Shafiroff to the stage as LTV Studios presents her as the 2026 recipient of theFrances Ann Dougherty Award for Broadcast Philanthropy. The award honors leadership, generosity and a lasting commitment to strengthening the community through the power of media. Named for Frances Ann Dougherty, wife of LTV founder Frazer Dougherty and the institution’s first major contributor more than 40 years ago, the annual recognition is presented to an individual with meaningful ties to the East End who has helped advance LTV’s mission in public access, education and government broadcasting
Shafiroff, a philanthropist, author and television host, is being recognized for her years-long support of LTV and the continued success of her program, “Successful Philanthropy,” which highlights charitable leadership and civic engagement. Her selection as the 2026 honoree reflects LTV’s commitment to celebrating those who use media to inform, uplift and connect the community.
Following Lewis’ performance, guests will be invited to mingle over desserts prepared by chef Annie Washburn as LTV Studios looks ahead to the full Hamptons Summer Songbook By The Sea season.

Founded by Rubin and Gladstone, Hamptons Summer Songbook By The Sea has become a distinctive cultural fixture on the East End, pairing world-class performers with the intimacy of a soundstage environment. The series offers audiences a rare opportunity to experience Broadway, cabaret and the American songbook up close in one of the Hamptons’ most creative community media spaces.
