PLAYWRIGHTS' THEATRE OF EAST HAMPTON AND THE NEO-POLITICAL COWGIRLS PRESENTS
All the World's a Stage: Theater Workshop for East End Students
The Neo-Political Cowgirls (NPC) bring a Shakespearean smorgasbord to local school youth supported by The National Endowment for the Arts and Arts Midwest through being awarded the Shakespeare in American Communities grant for the second year running. Following their summer production of The She-Wolves that performed outdoors at LongHouse Reserve in August, the company will perform a series of monologues primarily from Shakespeare's female characters to explore themes of love, fate, madness, revenge, and the use of the comedic clown overlaid upon tragedy. Bridgehampton, Springs, Montauk and other local schools will be visited with this production and select students from each will attend a workshop at LTV studios on Friday, November 8th at 10AM to discover where physicality meets and illuminates the language of the "All the world's a stage" monologue spoken by Jacques in As You Like It.
East End educators are welcome to attend the workshop at LTV FREE as audience observers. To reserve your seat, please call or email Josh Gladstone, Creative Director: Josh@ltveh.org or 631-537-2777.
